"Black Friday" ...

It's the big shopping day. Some people have been at the stores since midnight, gobbling up the bargains and sales items they have on their list. It may be the biggest volume sale day of the entire year.

But, why "Black Friday"?

Wouldn't it be better to call it "Big Savings Day" ... or "Save a Bundle Day" ... or "Shopping Fun Day"? That seems to me to be a more upbeat way to tag it.

News this morning of people crowding into stores. Some getting hit with pepper spray. Some injuries in the crush of early morning holiday shoppers. Some traffic accidents.

All that seems kind of negative to me.

Let's embrace the day for what it is -- a big retail shopping day that makes many, many people happy.

Enjoy it!

And Good Selling!
